МЕТОДОЛОГИЧЕСКИЕ ПОДХОДЫ К ИЗУЧЕНИЮ РОЛИ ВНЕШНЕГО ОБЛИКА В РАЗЛИЧНЫХ СФЕРАХ ЖИЗНЕДЕЯТЕЛЬНОСТИ: КРУГЛЫЙ СТОЛ НА ФЕСТИВАЛЕ НАУКИ ЮГА РОССИИ

Аннотация. Представлены результаты работы круглого стола, состоявшегося в рамках Фестиваля науки Юга России 20-21 октября 2018 г. в Ростове-на-Дону, посвященного новой и актуальной методологической проблеме изучения ценности и значимости внешнего облика человека в различных сферах его жизнедеятельности. На круглом столе были представлены итоги самых последних исследований, проведенных сотрудниками кафедры социальной психологии Академии психологии и педагогики Южного федерального университета. В сообщениях обсуждался феномен «ценности внешнего облика», его функциональная значимость и место в иерархии ценностных ориентаций молодых людей; особенности влияния внешнего облика на отношения студентов и преподавателей, на романтические отношения, карьерные достижения, переживание счастья и статус в группе. Рассматривались вопросы влияния родительских оценок внешнего облика детей на формирование лукофобии, а также на переживания молодых людей в связи с фрустрацией ценности внешнего облика негативными оценками Других. В сообщениях обсуждалась разновидность лукизма – буллинг, который стал одним из видов дискриминационной практики в социальных сетях. Работа круглого стола была построена таким образом, чтобы его участники осмысливали получаемую информацию, используя свой индивидуальный опыт. Был поставлен вопрос: «Как мы можем изменить отношение к своему и чужому внешнему облику и не поддаваться влиянию лукизма, бьютизма и лукофобии?». Ответы на этот вопрос участники круглого стола давали во время выполнения заданий и различных упражнений. Круглый стол завершился обсуждением ряда положений практико-ориентированной социально-психологической программы снижения зависимости от оценок внешнего облика.

Summary. The results of work of the Round Table which took place within the Festival of the science of the South of Russia on October 20-21, 2018 in Rostov-on-Don devoted to a new and topical methodological problem of studying of the value and the importance of the Person appearance in various spheres of his activity are presented in this article. The results of the latest researches executed by the department of social psychology of Academy of psychology and pedagogics of Southern Federal University's stuff were presented on this Round Table. The phenomenon of "the appearance value", its functional importance and the place in the hierarchy of valuable orientations of young people; the features of influence of appearance on the relations of students and teachers, on the romantic relations, career achievements, experience of happiness and the status in group were discussed in messages of participants. The issues of the influence of parental estimates of the appearance of children on the formation of a lookphobia and also on experiences of young people in connection with the frustration of value of appearance negative estimates of Others were considered. Such kind of a lookizm as bullying which became one of the types of a discriminatory practice on social networks also was discussed. The work of the Round Table was constructed so that its participants comprehended the obtained information, making use of the individual experience. The question: "How we can change the attitude towards personal and Others' appearance and not come under the influence of a lookizm, beautizm and lookphobia?"  was put. Participants of the Round Table gave answers to this question during the performance of tasks and various exercises. The Round Table came to its end with the discussion of some provisions of the practice focused social and psychological program of the decrease in dependence on appearance estimates.
