Интервью с профессором Стэндфордского университета Филиппом Зимбардо открывает серию публикаций, целью которых является знакомство профессионального сообщества со взглядами авторитетных ученых-современников по актуальным вопросам и перспективным направлениям исследований психологической науки. Исполнителям проекта удалось задать вопросы не только отечественным специалистам, что значительно увеличивает ценность собранного материала и позволяет познакомиться с более широким спектром мнений о глобальных вызовах, стоящих перед современной психологией. The interview with the professor of the Stanford University Philip Zimbardo opens the series of the interviews executed within the project supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research "The Russian psychologists' social representations about the future of psychological science". The purpose of this and the following publications is the wide audience's acquaintance with the authoritative scientists-contemporaries' views on the topical issues of the psychological science. The performers of the project have managed to ask questions not only to domestic experts that considerably increases the value of collected material and allows to get acquainted with wider range of views of the global challenges and the perspective directions of researches facing the contemporary psychology. The questions to Philip Zimbardo were asked by Timofey Aleksandrovich Nestik, the head of the laboratory of social and economic psychology of Institute of psychology RAS.
